What is Arthritis? Arthritis is the excruciating pain in your knee and shoulder, the stiffness in your finger joints, the killing paint in your spine. It's one of the major reasons that people go to their doctors, and it is the number-one cause of disability.

Arthritis affects both men and women, even though women are slightly more prone to certain form of this disease than men.
